Private House, Llwynfedw Gardens
The project encompasses the complete reorganisation of the ground floor interior spaces of an Edwardian House at Llwynfedw Gardens.
On a limited budget, the project aims to open up the current space and provide a wraparound extension within which the client will store and maintain their growing bicycle collection. The project takes the existing form and creates openings in the roof to bring light down into areas of activity and family gathering.
The exterior and interior design uses simple orthogonal forms and pure materials of raw concrete render, terrazzo flooring and timber cladding to create an honest and quiet extension to the existing home.
