The Cart Shed, Forest Hill, London

This delightful building is set back from the Road and located in the Forest Hill area of south London. Nestled amongst a number of other dwellings of differing periods some of which are listed the existing building is a remnant of when this area of London was far less densely populated will small pasturers given over for small scale agricultural use.

The new works reconfigure the existing house extending the loft in order to add an additional bedroom with substantial changes to the rest of the house.These changes aim to open up the existing house, provide views to the gardens and enlarge the existing kitchen and dining spaces for entertainment and lazy summer afternoons

The proposed extension will be constructed of a lightweight timber frame construction. Then clad in corrugated metal clearly differentiating it from the historic elements of the house and offering a contrast to the London stock brick.
