This proposal for a side return extension to a semi detached villa aims to expand the footprint of a tricky angled Victorian terraced house. By utilising an underused area of the garden and not extending beyond the current footprint the proposal adds an additional two bedrooms and a dining space to the current home whilst retaining the amenity space of the garden. Careful consideration is given to the massing of the proposed and delineation between old and new is achieved by the use of a light handmade brick and contemporary detailing which aims to contrast and compliment the restored house.
